230 more outlets for Tata Nano


Global small car major Tata Motors is betting high on its most prestigious product the Nano. P M Telang, Managing Director with the automaker has just announced that it will be opening 230 dedicated showrooms Nano car in the next 12 months.


























Tata Motors from the launch day of the 'Nano' in March 2009 is putting in all efforts to outsell the Maruti Suzuki Alto, which currently is the hot seller in the segment. This new move adds to the 120 such outlets already in operation, making a grand total of 350 dedicated outlets for Nano by the end of 2012.

Hero MotorCorp into new tie-up

Hero MotoCorp Ltd, the country's largest two-wheeler maker, recently announced a technology sourcing partnership with US-based Erik Buell Racing (EBR), as it looks to strengthen its presence in the high-end bike segment globally.




Maruti's big plans on small Dzire

Maruti Suzuki expects the new Dzire to generate a higher market share in the entry-level sedan market. The company has already fuelled a price war in the segment as the new version is priced around Rs 25,000-30,000 cheaper than the previous-generation model.

























“Our engineers have brought in interesting modifications including an Automatic Transmission in the new Swift DZire to meet the aspirations of a young city family,” Maruti Suzuki managing director Shinzo Nakanishi said.



Tata Motors hikes price between Rs.7000/- to Rs.12000/-

Tata Motors has increased prices of its passenger vehicles by up to Rs 12,000 to counter the impact of high input costs.

"The high input costs have been impacting us for quite some time. We have decided to pass on some burden to our customers. The quantum of the hike will vary between Rs 7,000 and Rs 12,000 depending on the model," a company spokesperson told the news agency.
