Hyundai India to invest in flexible engine plant
Country's second largest car maker and largest car exporter Hyundai India announced an investment of USD 300 million for setting up a new flexible engine plant.
The investment planned is for setting up a world class engine plant and a new press shop. According to Hyundai, this investment would create employment for about 400 people apart from the indirect employment.

Japanese Auto major Honda launched CNG version of City in India. With petrol prices rising and no diesel option to offer CNG was the best option Honda had to offer.
Honda has offered the CNG variant in the V trim only and is priced at Rs. 9.03 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). With Rohan BRC authorized to provide CNG kits, the modification would be available across all 45 Honda dealerships across India and would come with a 2 years/40,000km warranty as standard.

Renault India Bajaj Auto collaboration terminated
French auto major Renault' India arm has terminated its collaboration with Bajaj Auto for the development of the Ultra Low Cost car.
Renault Nissan Chairman and CEO, Mr. Carlos Ghosn announced the termination of the contract and stated that the car developed by Bajaj Auto 'RE60' was not inline with Renault's requirement which leaded to the termination.

Japanese two wheeler major Yamaha announced the entry into the Indian scooter market by the launch on the 110cc Yamaha RAY.
Equipped with a 4 stroke, air-cooled 113cc engine, the new RAY pumps a max power of 7.1PS @ 7500rpm and a max torque of 8.1Nm @ 5000rpm. Mated with a CVT transmission Continuous Variable Transmission), Yamaha claims a fuel efficiency of 62.1 kmpl and a performance of 0-60 kmph in just 12 sec.

Renault launches Scala in India
Renault India launches its third mass market model, the Scala. The company introduced the Scala in a press meet held in Delhi yesterday at an introductory price starting a Rs. 6.99 lakh for Petrol and Rs. 8.69 for Diesel (ex-showroom, Delhi).
