Maruti Suzuki Ritz achieves 2 lakh sales

Maruti Suzuki's Ritz car has attained the 2 lakh sales mark in premium hatchback segment within a short span of 36 months of its launch. Ritz is one of the fastest models to achieve this sales mark after the sibling Swift.

Country's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki has sold over 64,000 units of the Ritz in the domestic market in 2011-2012 and over 8000 units exported so far to South East Asia and other neighboring countries.

Driving comfort, contemporary styling etc have made Ritz a attractive buy for many car buyers in the A2 segment and attracted many young couples. With an official facebook fans page, Ritz is the only Indian model to have a milestone of 1 million active fans online.

Launched in 2009, Ritz has indeed played a wonderful inning so far. Ritz owners also, have always appreciated its driving comfort. In current context too, when market is skewed towards diesel, we expect Ritz to gain more volumes in the future as well," said Shashank Srivastava, Chief GM (Marketing), Maruti Suzuki.
